    Job Title: General Ledger Accountant

    Reporting to the Director Accounting EMEA, the GL Accountant will work closely during the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes with global teams in General Accounting, Tax, Treasury, and Financial Planning and Analysis (“FP&A”) to ensure the financial statements for assigned entities are reported accurately in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (“U.S. GAAP”) and other appropriate accounting rules, as applicable. Responsible for establishing and maintaining positive working relationships with our associates in our Accounting Teams around the world. Will have the ability to multitask in a fast-paced, multi-national accounting environment and be able to meet the deadlines with minimal supervision.

    Your day to day

    • Manage day‐to‐day closing and reporting activities for various countries in European Region to ensure that the entities’ books are maintained in accordance with U.S. GAAP and Local GAAP (periodically).
    • Support and prepare statutory audits & statutory financial statements for assigned countries
    • Review, monitor, and follow up on variances until successful resolution during the month‐end close.
    • Prepare journal entries and timely account reconciliations for assigned financial line items in the countries of ownership.
    • Timely and accurate Payroll accounting ‐ monthly journals & reconciliation.
    • Intercompany reconciliations
    • Ensure accurate GL recording and reconciliation of VAT related items for assigned countries
    • Manage foreign exchange issues including review and clearing of shadow balances.
    • Ensure compliance with Internal Controls over Financial Reporting (“ICFR”) under Section 404 of the Sarbanes‐Oxley Act of 2002 (“SOX”) for areas of responsibility, including the documentation and review of accounting policies and procedures.
    • Support other members of Finance in other projects as needed.
    • Support in driving Global consistency and process improvements.
    • Reconciliation of country assigned CIT accounts – as needed.
    • Prepare CIT filings for assigned countries – as needed

    What you bring to the team

    • 3-5 years of experience in an international environment
    • Relevant Accounting knowledge working across multiple European countries
    • Enthusiastic about working together as a team
    • US GAAP experience preferred
    • Oracle experience preferred
