    FP&A Manager, Northern Europe

    About the role

    In this role based in Amsterdam campus, the FP&A Finance Manager NEU will play an essential role in delivering accurate, timely and insightful information on performance of the markets within the Northern Europe cluster across actuals and forecasts. The role provides exposure to leadership in the markets and cluster. The primary responsibility will be to work in partnership with the market finance leaders and the specialists within the cluster to knit together the picture of market performance, bringing out the story behind the numbers and providing insights that inform commercial decision making to ensure we optimise use of our financial resources and continue to improve profitability. You will have your finger on the pulse for our KPIs and are responsible for the on-time delivery of this performance information into the regional finance team. In addition to the cluster responsibilities, you will be an integral member of a regional collaboration group that is responsible for developing and sharing FP&A best practice across the region, as well as collaborating with Group and regional finance teams on key transformation projects.

    Core Accountabilities:

    • Partner closely with market and cluster teams to ensure EMEA and Group guidance and deadlines are communicated and followed effectively to ensure on-time delivery of accurate inputs from market and cluster.

    • Design & drive efficiencies in budget, forecast and month-end processes by engaging all relevant stakeholders across functions (finance, supply, demand, and market LT)

    • Lead the financial performance review for NEU cluster with the focus not only on the total P&L but also on channel and country profitability. Drive deep-dive analysis of market KPIs and financials and provide insightful commentary on performance across the cluster for mid-month estimates and month-end close.

    • Provide support with performance decisions and actions - identify and track risks & opportunities activations, provide insights on price volume mix analysis, P&L scenario planning, and benchmarking across region.

    • Oversee the on-time delivery of financial reporting packs for market and cluster reviews for month-end, forecast and budget. Implement regular check-ins with stakeholders to consolidate and implement reporting enhancement requests that fit the business needs.

    • Partner with DBS, regional and cluster FP&A partners to standardize and automate existing reports in Excel, Looker, and Tableau.

    • Partner with markets for mid to long term financial planning (i.e. 5 year plan and budget range planning).

    • Deliver regular and consistent financial support for the Professional business leads across the cluster. Your team will drive the forecasting and month-end process for this function and be a key finance point of contact for the business partners.

    About you

    • We are looking for you to have a FP&A or Commercial Finance background with strong technical ability in reporting systems and Excel.

    • Clear communicator; decisive and excellent influencer.

    • Able to challenge all areas of activity, especially elements that ‘have always been done’ and recommend new approaches to meet financial objectives.

    • Confidence in building and maintaining relationships and engaging with non-financial teams are vital characteristics in order to succeed in this role.

    • Strong team player and management skills

    • Competent and confident when presenting information, particularly when presenting financial information to senior non-finance stakeholders. Can clearly communicate the story of the numbers.

    • Strong analytical ability – comfortable assimilating and interpreting data and information to draw out meaningful insight and conclusions, and capable of using this to influence decision making.

    • You will be an organized self-starter with strong ability to work independently.
