Global Markets (GM) is the of centre expertise for all financial markets activities and products of ABN AMRO. GM is made up of Equity Capital Markets (ECM), Debt Capital Markets (DCM), FX, Fixed Income & Derivatives and Strategy & Business Development (S&BD). Fixed Income & Derivatives (FID) department covers the needs of institutional and corporate clients for all derivatives and fixed income products. Clients are large corporates, central banks, pension funds, asset managers, insurance companies and hedge funds. The FID department consist of two commercial teams, FID Sales and FID trading, working together in offering clients our products and solutions. FID Trading has full end-to-end responsibility for pricing & risk management for all derivative and fixed income products. This includes responsibility for pricing models and tooling, management of all risk types, creating and implementing strategies for optimizing our electronic and other distribution channels and adhering to all policies and regulations.
As a Fixed Income & Derivatives Trader:
You are quantitatively savvy and have sufficient knowledge and skills in the field of trading systems, tools and processes
You can adequately and quickly make the right decisions and execute transactions in (complex) financial products (bonds, currencies and derivatives based on these).
You manage and optimize the trading portfolios of the bank from a balanced risk, return and scarce resources perspective.
You are curious, creative and always looking for the how and why to be in-control. You use data and other IT-tooling for this.
You have up-to-date expertise in the field of financial markets, products, valuation models, risk management and quantitative models (data, algorithms, quant analyses) and you use this to optimize transactions and (risk) positions.
You adhere to risk mandates and all relevant internal and external policies and regulation
You work in a team and you like to collaborate with relevant stakeholders (Quants, Sales, IT, Grids, XVA)
You work as a quant trader at the rates derivative and government bond desk.
Global Markets is a department with highly specialized group of people advising, executing and dealing in financial instruments. The working environment is entrepreneurial, collaborative and complex due to amongst others changing clients’ needs, regulations and the impact of technology and data. This means Global Markets needs to be responsive and quick on its feet to adjust in this dynamic environment.

Academic education level
At least 3-5 years’ work experience, preferably in Global Markets / Investment or Wholesale Banking
Experience in trading and risk management of financial market products
Knowledge and skills in the field of trading systems, tools and processes
Affinity with technology, quant development and understanding data.
Excellent interpersonal skills, team player and effective stakeholder manager
Self-starter, innovative and curious mindset
Keen interest in financial markets and economics.
