T he C entre of Excellence (CoE) Financial Analyst is responsible for value-add financial support to cross-functional teams to ensure delivery of financial and operational goals of our Spares and Service business
This position is based in the CoE European headquarters in Hoofddorp, Netherlands.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the “ in quarter ” or actual activities for our spares and service division s
- E nsur e s the accurate and timely recording of revenue-related transactions in accordance with the Company’s revenue recognition policy
- Analyses and t rack s revenue and cost streams against budget , p r epare s reports and trend analysis on a periodic basis and provide s narrative and follow up actions to key stakeholders
- Tracks labour hour trends to analyse utilisation of workforce
- Tracks spares consumption against forecast
- Analyses movements in gross margin of customer service contracts and provides explanation of variances to budget and proposes corrective actions if and when needed
- Perform s the monthly close tasks , including revenue accruals , deferred revenue management, spending reviews, margin reviews, account reconciliations and other duties as necessary
- Own s S OX controls in the areas of revenue and cost
- Support s internal and external audits and the preparation of the quarterly balance sheet review package
- I dentif ies process improvement opportunities to d rive time and cost efficiencies
- Support Projects
Key expectations :
- Self-starter with strong work ethic and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with fluctuating priorities and deadlines; maintain financial cycle deliverables, identify change, and drive items to closure with minimal management oversight
- Able to work in ambiguous environment but still drive results, solve complex problems, exercises judgement based on the analysis of multiple sources of information
- Be curious to understand the drivers of top and bottom-line growth
- Excellent communication and writing skills and the ability to translate and simplify complex financial information and explain it to non-finance audience
- Strong time management, organisational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent computer skills : SAP , Excel, Tableau, PowerBI , PowerPoint )
- Advanced Knowledge of the English language
- Global perspective
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor or Master in F inance , B usiness Controlling or A ccounting
- 5 + years of experience in a F inancial analysis /Business Controlling position
