Your contribution to TenneT
As (Area) Finance Manager you manage the overall financial activities together with the Head of the Execution area as a team. You are responsible for ensuring the required financial results of the portfolio of assets of the specific execution area. You and the Head of the execution area operate as a 'CEO-CFO' team, challenging and supporting each other on key decisions.
In this role you coordinate a group of Project Controllers, Asset Accountants, Claim/Warranty- and Contract Managers who directly report to you on the respective topics.
In this position:
You are responsible for organising the area finance team and you are responsible for area controlling, claim- & warranty management, contract management and tax management;
- You are responsible for cost calculation, planning (e.g. MTP, LEs), reporting, forecasting and monitoring the budget and account allocation;
- You are responsible for preparation and coordination of budget requests and further committee documents for the respective decision committees;
- You coordinate insurance and tax aspects of the area;
- You ensure that contracts and financial processes are well structured, lean and administrable;
- You participate in negotiations and meetings with strategic relevance for the Area and a possible financial impact e.g claim-warranty negotiation/meetings;
- You identify financial risks and chances in close cooperation with the area team members;
- You are the point of contact for commercial requests from shareholders regarding area maintenance and operations.
Your Profile and background
An university degree (Bachelor or Master) in business administration;
- At least 5 years work experience in controlling, commercial project management and professional leadership of employees;
- Project management skills (certification to IPMA level D, level C and higher desirable);
- Excellent English communication skills;
- Knowledge of the energy sector is an advantage;
- Practical experience in MS Office and SAP (esp. CO/FI/MM/PS/PM/BI);
- A self-employed, structured and proactive working style;
- Good communication and inter-personal skills, team player.
