We are looking for a Finance Manager who will be responsible for the accounting of the principal Gibson Europe operation, based in the Netherlands (Amersfoort), as well as several European subsidiaries. Essential Functions

As a Finance manager you will oversee the daily processing activities of 2 direct reports within the finance departmen and you will drive the month-end closing process of the various EMEA entities including posting all entries that are necessary to conclude an accurate month-end close You are directly responsible for the execution of the following tasks;

• VAT Compliance including ICP and CBS Reporting
• Payroll Oversight, Payroll Ledger Postings and Remittances in various EMEA territories
• Approval of Bank Reconciliations
• Maintenance of the Fixed Asset Register
• Review and Approval of Employee Expense Claims
• Maintenance of Intercompany Reconciliations
• Review and Reconciliation of Online Sale Collections
• Review and Approval of Vendor Payments
• Driving maximum and efficient utilization of ERP / automated system solutions
• Analyzing books and reporting to management
• Contract management with respect to long-term supplier contracts
• Manage the audit process A to Z including drafting financial statements with full disclosure notes
• Proactively manage the performance of junior staff members

Required Skills/Abilities

• Highly organized, structured, disciplined, with ability to prioritize tasks
• Attention to detail, quality, accuracy and timeliness.
• Excellent English skills (speaking, reading and writing)
• Fluent Dutch language skills (speaking, reading and writing).
• Solid knowledge of Dutch and EU GAAP (incl. IFRS).
• Knowledge of Dutch and EU CIT and Indirect Taxes (VAT) rules and regulations.
• Excel medium- to advanced-user (incl. PowerPivot, dashboards, advanced formulae)

Required Education and Experience

• Minimum HBO accountancy, but ideally Bachelor Accounting / Business Administration
• Minimum 5-years post-qualification experience (preferred 10 years)
• Experience working in retail, wholesale and distribution business.
• Experience with integrated ERP (Gibson utilizes Dynamics 365)
