    Finance Manager

    We offer you A salary in line with the market € 3,500.00 - € 6,000.00 per month.

    Job purpose

    The Finance Manager’s role is responsible for providing financial and commercial support to the Country Manager and other key functions.

    Key accountabilities

    • Align with Regional Accounting as well as with Division Europe Financial Controlling departments in Hamburg on the monthly management accounts preparation and financial reporting (IFRS) and business forecasts
    • Review the profit and loss account regularly to ensure revenue and costs are correctly booked and reported.
    • Ensure incoming invoices are timely processed and approved according to the existing process and support Regional Accounting department in case of issues (price differences, missing Purchase Orders etc.)
    • Review and validate (jointly with the Country Manager) vendors payments proposals processed by Regional Accounting
    • Support Nordex Treasury department in any treasury and finance related matter
    • Prepare and review with external consultants and/or with Nordex Tax department the Corporate Income Tax return and monthly VAT reports
    • Ensure correct tax and customs reporting to Dutch governmental authorities
    • Prepare the company’s statutory Financial Statements and other reports might be required according to local laws on behalf of the company directors
    • Interface with external professional advisors as required (e.g. auditors, tax advisors, lawyers etc.).
    • Support the Project Management team on all finance and accounting matters, specifically this will include support on ongoing projects.
    • Draft and negotiate minor purchasing contracts with local vendors (e.g. office rental contract, HSE services, utilities etc.), with support from external law firm if needed
    • Support the Area Service Manager for The Netherlands, the Regional Finance Manager (Central Europe) and the Division Europe Financial Controlling Director on all finance and controlling matters for the country, specifically this will include regular updates for financial forecasts, follow up actuals and annual budget process.
    • Debtors reporting and aged debt profiling each month; oversee the dunning process and chase the overdue amounts
    • Interface with local insurance companies and Insurance department in Hamburg, for any insurance related matter in Netherlands
    • Provide guidance and support to the operations staff relevant to the finance accounting processes and procedures.
    • Ensure leasing contracts are properly maintained and tracked according to Nordex policy and review the monthly IFRS 16 calculation accordingly
    • Perform other duties as assigned by Regional as well as Divisional management
    • Release the salary payments in tm5
    • Ensure payroll is properly and timely booked in SAP
    • Monitor and reconcile, with support of P&C, the payments towards authorities for social contributions etc.

    Career / Job experience

    The job position requires two to three years of accounting experience, preferably in an international environment.

    Education and qualification

    The job position requires a qualified accountant with at least two years of practice in an international firm of chartered accountants or auditors dealing with foreign companies or three years of experience of accounting in an international company located in The Netherlands.

    • Experience of financial control of multi-million Euro projects is essential, as is a working knowledge of the construction industry and accounting for WIP on long term projects
    • Excellent high education (hbo-accounting) as well as strong interpersonal and intercultural skills
    • Being prepared to undertake routine tasks as well as manage others (due to the fact that the office is relatively small)
    • Ability to operate, influence and counsel at the most professional level within your function and to business clients.
    • Excellent communication and negotiation skills; being highly motivated and business oriented
    • Used to work independently within a matrix based organisation - direction will come from both the local managers and the finance and accounting departments in Germany.
    • Excellent knowledge of both Dutch and IFRS accounting standards
    • Good understanding and knowledge of the Dutch Tax requirements (e.g. VAT, CIT etc.)
    • Good working knowledge of SAP

    Personal profile

    • Languages skills: fluently Dutch and English and preferrable German
    • Good communication – internally as well as externally (vendors)
    • Able to work independently and within a small team
    • Orientation to detail
    • Skilled in working with financial numbers and figures
    • Committed and ready to take ownership of the finance function for Nordex Netherlands
