The role
Maxeon is seeking a high-energy, customer-focused Experience Design Manager as a critical member of the Product Experience team. In this role, you will be shaping Maxeon’s product experience and design strategy from end to end. You will be joining Maxeon’s new and dynamic product team and work closely together with the teams developing our products and services. Your responsibilities include orchestrating the product experience across digital and physical products, building Maxeon’s CX and UX capabilities and nurturing journey thinking within the wider organization. Additionally, you will be delivering outstanding, delightful experiences that help our customers to optimize their household’s green-energy usage or help our installing partners grow by unlocking new sales opportunities through customer insights.
The ideal candidate is strong both creatively and commercially, can comfortably maneuver in stakeholder landscape that includes customers, partners, suppliers and our internal organization. You are both a strategic thinker and a creator, have a passion for customer-centric design, understand the crucial role it plays in product development and are not afraid to drive design decisions throughout the process. As Experience Design Manager you report into the Senior Manager product Experience.
This will be a remote/homebased position in the Netherlands.
Essential duties and responsibilities
Shape the end-2-end experience and design strategy for Maxeon’s product and service portolio
Work together with our Brand organization to integrate the Maxeon Brand DNA in every customer touchpoint
Translate and visualise strategic concepts into enjoyable customer experiences.
Manage suppliers and creative agencies to deliver high-quality experiences
Conduct customer qualitative and quantitative customer research to identify unmet needs
and desires
Nurture design culture within Maxeon’s organization
Manage stakeholders in order to ensure that every Maxeon experience fits within the
envisioned end-2-end customer journey.
Closely collaborate with other members of the Product Team to define customer-centric
products.
Related experience and educational requirements
Bachelor/master’s degree (or similar field) in Product Design / Industrial Design
5+ years in product design, UX design or related roles
Know how to set design direction, but can also deliver designs ready for implementation
An ecosystems thinker, being able to conceptually connect dots between interdependent
models
A self-starter, thriving in multidisciplinary teams and accepting constructive criticism as part
of continuous improvement in the design quality.
Excellent presentation skills and communication abilities. Whether the audience is internal,
conference attendees, you can sell an idea clearly and confidently
Obsessed with understanding the needs of the users of your services
Ability to lead discussions, promote design solutions and adapt design practices – convincing
through narrative and rigor
Familiar with the latest trends in (digital) design and familiarity with mobile-first designs.
Confident in communicating and collaborating with digital architects and developers
Experience working across multidiscipline and the Agile way of working
