We aim to lead the data center industry in sustainability and financial performance and this role provides a truly unique opportunity to work in a thriving industry to help make an impact on the environment. This position will work closely with the members of Iron Mountain’s ESG team, as well as various departments and senior leaders across Iron Mountain Data Center Finance and Accounting teams.
Assess and report on monthly energy costs by site, including review of invoiced rates, identification of any changes from past months or forecast, update related internal worksheets (Billing, Pricing Team, etc…). Approximately 20 sites, 6 countries, and 55 utility accounts
Assess and report on status of procurement positions including percent coverage and future open positions based on forecasted growth.
Research and report on any material market energy drivers for each global IMDC location that may influence future energy procurement decisions.
Update rolling three year forecast on energy rates for each site, identifying open positions or other risks (and magnitude of impact). This includes engagement with external consultants (Schneider, possibly S&P).
Collaborate with IRM Energy Managers to maintain complete and accurate data within Resource Advisor for all consumption related to all energy and water and corresponding emissions.
Provide data to support quarterly EnMS review (PUE / WUE / CUE / 24-7, etc).
Key Skills, Requirements and Competencies:
Knowledge and experience with ESG reporting disclosures preferred, including SASB, CDP, GRESB, S&P CSA, TCFD, GRI.
Knowledge and experience with green building certifications, including LEED and BREEAM, as well as EPA Energy Star preferred.
Experience using Energy Star Portfolio Manager and other 3rd party ESG reporting software preferred.
A critical thinker with the ability to perform data analysis and pull meaningful insights.
Ability to embrace change and adapt to evolving business needs.
High attention to detail and strong organizational, analytical and communication skills.
Advanced Microsoft Office skills (i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Shows initiative and ownership of projects, with ability to stay organized while working on multiple projects.
Upholds high standards of ethical and professional conduct.
Bilingual or multilingual preferred, including proficiency in Dutch, German and/or French.
