Design Intern

Royal RepubliQ is an international rapidly growing leather brand for men and women, with exports to more than 37 countries worldwide. We are rooted in Copenhagen but based in Amsterdam. Our continuous quest is to create ‘new classic’ pieces with a quality and a design that will last for many years. We wish to create functional and trustworthy products with high use-value – products that age with grace, grow character over time, and become an integrated part of the users’ everyday lives. 

During your internship you will be:

• Developing and producing collections in close cooperation with our design and product development team

• Responsible for comments on prototypes, salesmen samples, and pre-production samples

• Responsible for a continuous updated PDM (product data management) system

• Helping with the preparation of collections, presentations, etc.

• Helping with creating spec sheets in Illustrator

• Creating and maintaining overviews

• Assisting at presentations

• Organizing and maintaining the design studio and showroom

• File and organize trims and leather swatches

• Operational support in the production process

Who are we looking for:

• You are participating in an MBO or HBO study in the direction of Fashion and design

• You have a good understanding of leather as the material

• Experience with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign & 3D software

• Affinity with fashion and up to the latest trends

• Creative energetic, professional and ambitious

• You are able to work alone and with a team

• Good knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
