The role As a Data Analyst you analyze internal datasets, produce statistical analyses and write up the insights. You also evaluate external data sources that can be incorporated into our analyses. All this to help us learn how to close living wage gaps in international supply chains. You are able to visualize and communicate your findings to technical and non-technical audiences in an easy-to-understand way as “actionable insights”. The goal: results that can be used, especially by private sector organizations, when working on living wage. Next to that, you assist in maintaining a good level of data quality, help establish our data analysis procedures and train our colleagues so they can themselves analyze the data they have (or need to collect) in order to answer their sectorial questions. You will be expected to (co)create additional tools and insights together with your Better Jobs colleagues. The Better Jobs team The Better Jobs team is a subset of IDH’s Innovation and Insight’s business unit. The goal of our team is to facilitate learning (one of IDH’s 3 core functions) and drive innovation about how to improve jobs in global supply chains. A key focus of our work is the use of tools and data to inform strategy, for instance through the IDH Roadmap on Living Wages. Who you are You have experience on data analyses with great communication and visualization skills. Working closely together with your team is what you like, and you are not afraid to ask for help. You like to try out new things and are able to take initiative, and are self-starting with excellent organizational skills. You are great in prioritizing your tasks and are a flexible person. What you bring
5+ years of relevant work experience;
Good conceptual, analytical and tooling skills;
Statistical knowledge and experience;
Good familiarity with Excel and Power Bi (or similar business intelligence tools). You’ll need to be comfortable with finding solutions as you start developing analysis scripts;
Knowledge (and interest in) of sustainability, international trade, econometrics, supply chains and/or agri-commodities is a bonus;
Fluent in English, additional languages are a plus.
What we offer IDH offers a dynamic international environment and an enthusiastic and passionate team. As an IDH team member you can contribute to positive global change. The position is for 32 to 40 hours per week. Remote work can be considered. We offer a gross monthly salary between €3000 and €3700 depending on seniority.
