Role Description

We are looking on expanding our Analytics team with a data analyst/scientist to help create data-driven internal solutions for the Illuvium DAO. These include: analyzing marketing data to accurately pinpoint user segments which prove most interesting to us, simulate and tune game data to increase balance and enjoyment for our players, create Artificial Intelligence agents using our vast reservoir of data for the purpose of finding bugs and providing immersive experiences, digging into available blockchain data to trigger the decentralization of our DAO as well as a myriad of interesting problems across all departments of Illuvium.

About Illuvium

Illuvium Labs is an independent game development studio based in Sydney, Australia. We develop blockchain based games for the Illuvium DAO. We have developed a strong culture of independence with our team, preferring candidates who can articulate their own vision and goals. We operate almost entirely remotely so each team member designs their own hours and work schedule. In the end all that matters is the delivered product. We hire based on people's abilities to adapt and change quickly, valuing underlying core abilities above specific skill sets.

Responsibilities

• Proactively assist game designers, marketeers and developers in solving modeling problems

• Create and use artificial intelligence to increase the enjoyment of our game

• Implement machine learning/applied statistics research to improve insights and our products

• Deal with data-related ad hoc requests from the broader Illuvium team

Skills & Qualifications

• Deep understanding of applied mathematics and statistics

• High proficiency with Python

• Experience delivering e2e data-driven products

• The ability to both work independently while proactively engaging with the Analytics team

• Experience visualizing and explaining data-driven solutions to internal stakeholders

• An interest in applying data science and math to the intersection of blockchain and gaming

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with marketing is a big plus

• Understanding of both SQL and noSQL-based databases

• Experience using AWS
