Our client is a growing company that specialises in Ultra Low-Temperature (ULT) storage. Their products are used by leading corporations and organisations in the pharmaceutical, biotechnological, agriculture and life science industries.
Currently, they are looking for a Customer Service Lead to join the team in Amsterdam, Schiphol-Rijk. The successful candidate will report to the Global Vice President of Customer Service. The Customer Service Lead is responsible for owning customer issues to resolution and providing excellent customer service to ULT customers in Europe. This person must be interested in joining a small team with great growth plans.
Job Profile for Customer Service Lead
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Manage customer communications from initial response to resolution via multiple incoming communication pathways such as phone, chat, and multiple email channels
- Handle customer complaints or concerns quickly and professionally to maintain good customer relationships and ensure repeat customers
- Coordinate with service providers, sales, quality and fulfilment departments to resolve customer issues
- Enter orders and provide updates on order status to sales team members and customers
- Manage orders for new products and service parts; ensure delays and shipping issues are effectively communicated and promptly resolved
- Act on a one-call resolution expectation
- Maintain detailed and thorough transaction records according to ULT systems and processes
- Effectively communicate accurate and thorough information to the customer
- Train and onboard new service team members
Candidate Profile for Customer Service Lead
- Must be fluent in English, both written and spoken. Fluency in German is an advantage
- High school diploma, University degree is preferred
- 5+ years customer service experience, including 1+ years, lead, management or supervisory positions
- Experience with international shipments and returns is preferred
- Excel knowledge is a plus
- Problem-solver
- Able to troubleshoot and investigate customer complaints with urgency
- Know how to own and drive issues and projects to closure
- Detail-oriented, able to review various documents for accuracy
- Able to work in multiple programs and platforms
- Know how to work in a team environment, whether virtual or in-person
- Interest in joining a growing team; taking on new challenges and growth opportunities
