Experience in Public Relations or Corporate Communications at a public-facing organization or brand
Ability to speak and write in English and Dutch fluently
Experience working in a fast-paced press office environment with all facets of the media
Experience in speech writing, content production, and social media strategy
Ability to prioritize, plan, manage, and execute multiple projects simultaneously, while maintaining good decision-making in a fast-paced environment

About the job
As a member of the Global Communications & Public Affairs team, you will work cross-functionally to help communicate with journalists and other thought leaders; devise specific communications materials and campaigns; engage in face-to-face meetings with commentators and other opinion formers; and develop print and web-based material supporting these campaigns. We're looking for great communicators who can understand complex issues and explain them in person and also via well written, simple blog posts, FAQs, video scripts and more.
In this role, you will work with colleagues in functions across the company to tell stories about our products, policies, and reputation in the region. You'll design and execute external communication campaigns across areas such as economic contribution and local impact, and explain Google’s approach to economic and regulatory topics.
You will work with executives across Northern Europe and the Netherlands to ensure they're contributing to the external conversation through the media, social media, and speaking opportunities. As an avid consumer of news, you will spot communications opportunities and advise on issues, building and maintaining relationships with journalists.
You will be entrepreneurial and intellectually curious, working cross-functionally with partners across Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, Product, and more.

Craft and execute communication strategies and campaigns focused on corporate and reputational topics and issues, reaching audiences including policy-makers, opinion formers, and the public.
Help develop executive and spokesperson presence through media engagements, speaking opportunities, and social media, including message preparation and media training.
Collaborate with and advise cross-functional teams on compelling communication opportunities and reputation issues.
Develop a wide range of communications materials such as speeches, op-eds, editorial, and social media content.
Present to and build relationships with journalists from across the media.
