    The position

    This is an exciting time to join Remote and make a personal difference in the global employment space as a Copy Editor, joining our IE Employment Operations team.

    We are looking for a creative copywriter and editor, who can write clear and concise copy for product UI, internal documentation and external communications. You should have a love of language and an eye for detail. You are empathetic to your audience and strive to solve their issues and questions with simple, straightforward and unambiguous writing.

    You will be reporting to the IE Employment Operations Manager.


    • Proven experience as a copyeditor, or in a related role.
    • Have a strong interest in documentation, and keeping up with the latest trends driving effective use of content.
    • Writes and speaks fluent English. Additional languages are a plus.
    • An analytical mindset with great problem-solving abilities.
    • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, international work environment with a passion for making an impact.
    • Excellent time-management and organizational skills.
    • Is a productivity geek and will constantly think of ways to improve and speed up their work.
    • You understand the need and idea to work largely asynchronously.
    • It's not required to have experience working remotely, but is considered a plus.
    • Self-driven and thrives in rapidly-changing, highly collaboratively environments.

    Key responsibilities

    • Work in collaboration with the International Expansion department to develop clear copy for product UI, internal and external country documentation.
    • Create strong style guides for specific editorial deliverables.
    • Produce quality content based on briefs or inputs written by others.
    • Understand the importance of UX foundations and how to structure goal-oriented copy to drive the user's journey - internal or external.
    • Review existing and update existing documentation to the latest versions as needed.
    • Share writing techniques and methods with the wider team to up-skill and help scale standardised experience with creation and use of documentation
    • Cross-functional collaboration with multiple stakeholders, including members of International Expansion, Legal, Operations, Product, Growth, Customer Success and Operations spread out geographically.

    Remote's Total Rewards philosophy is to ensure fair unbiased compensation and fair pay along with competitive benefits in all locations in which we operate. We do not agree to or encourage cheap-labour practices and therefore pay a minimum annual salary of USD 40,000 per year, in all locations throughout the world. Actual compensation may vary based upon geographical location, experience, and/or skill level. However, it will never be below our minimum global compensation mentioned.
