    Contracts Negotiator

    Location:


    To be based in Dublin, Ireland or Hoofddorp, Netherlands.


    Position Summary:


    Our Bentley European legal department supports an organization with more than 500 colleagues in some two dozen countries. The department provides assistance to internal stakeholders on commercial, corporate and compliance matters. The Contract Negotiator will report to an EMEA Senior Associate Counsel and work as part of the global Bentley Legal and Compliance Group.


    Your Day-to-Day:


    • Drafting and negotiating commercial contracts, including commercial agreements, subscription services agreements, reseller agreements, technology distribution agreements and consulting agreements. Ensuring that contract terms conform to legal and business requirements and Company policies.
    • Assisting with research and implementation of regulatory compliance and related policies.
    • Performing legal research and preparing non-routine correspondence, contract file documentation and internal memoranda.
    • Coordinating, supervision and review of the work of outside counsel, including occasional litigation.
    • Participating in the training of sales personnel and others on Bentley legal policies and procedures.
    • Organizing and ensuring compliance with local rules and regulations in respect of EMEA subsidiaries, including coordination with finance department regarding approvals of annual accounts, bank documents and other Company Secretarial and corporate compliance matters.
    • Drafting of correspondence and other legal documents.
    • Assisting in additional substantive legal issues, as required.


    What You Bring to The Team:


    • Fluency in English is required for this position. Fluency in French is a plus.
    • Three+ years working experience as a lawyer, contract negotiator, paralegal or contracts administrator.
    • Degree in law or related discipline, such as university degree) or MBO/HBO (Netherlands).
    • Familiarity with contract management and administration.
    • Excellent communication and drafting/writing skills.
    • Well-organized, detail-oriented.
    • Ability to exercise judgement within defined practices and policies.
    • Ability to work closely with legal colleagues, sales staff and management, customers, finance, administration and other internal departments.
