    Contract Event Content Producer

    We’re looking for an experienced conference producer for maternity cover from the beginning of February to end of July to help with building commercially driven programs featuring the world's most sought-after thought leaders.

    The role

    As a producer for TNW Events, you’ll be reaching out to tech's industry leaders with the goal of building high value and impactful programs that are ahead of the curve. You'll communicate directly with some of the world's leading CEO's in technology, including Basecamp, Airbnb, Reddit, Slack, Uber, Tesla, and many more.

    You’ll be part of a lean production team, building out programs for internal TNW events, working primarily on our flagship, TNW Conference, and custom events for strategic partners. This is not an event operations or logistics role. The focus is content development and creating commercially successful events. Our ideal candidate has at leat two years of b2b conference production: (1) convincing speakers of the value of speaking at TNW without a fee and (2) understanding which topics and formats will drive revenue and audience satisfaction.

    Responsibilities / What you will do

    • Conduct desk research and phone interviews to identify key trends and assure the most timely and relevant topics and themes are featured on our agenda
    • Source potential new speakers that align with the level of quality and seniority expected of TNW events
    • Onboard speakers after confirmation, including speaker briefings and production prep; must be comfortable with providing senior executives clear instructions
    • Prepare documentation and write convincing copy for the successful execution of sessions at the conference

    Your knowledge & profile

    • You have a BA level education or beyond
    • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in communications, journalism, community management or business development plus a minimum 2 years of commercial event content production experience. Preferably a combination that includes business development experience and/or shows you're a business-savvy communicator
    • Must have a strong affinity for the technology industry; at least three tech events under your belt
    • Fluent English speaker (written and spoken). You’re able to eloquently explain the benefits of attending our events in emails, across social platforms and on the phone, without breaking a sweat. You're confident with speaking with senior level executives
    • Experience with our current technology stack is a plus: Spark, Google Apps, Slack, Hubspot and Notion
    • A good balance between a team player/self-starter
    • Looking to work 3 days a week or on a project basis
