The Compliance Officer directs the compliance function within BNP Paribas Real Estate NL and reports directly to the Compliance Head of Territory NL hierarchically. The function is a combination function which is also exercised by a colleague two days a week. You assist and advise the management in setting up the integrity framework of business operations and managing internal and external compliance risks. The compliance function advises on the implementation of laws and regulations in policies and procedures, monitors compliance with them and is involved in the preparation and provision of internal compliance training, all in order to ensure integrity of the management and prevention of reputational damage of the organization and the BNP Paribas Group as a whole.
In this role you’ll;
make an important contribution to the development, implementation and monitoring and control of the compliance policy of BNP Paribas Real Estate NL
translate compliance policy into operational procedures and measures
work closely with the management of BNP Paribas Real Estate NL to further control compliance risks
identify and advise on the measures to be taken under new laws and regulations
stimulate awareness in the company for reputation and integrity risks and consequences of external laws and regulations on business operations
evaluate individual applications/transactions on compliance
facilitate Business departments "as business-enabler"- without losing the independent and critical look
report internally on compliance activities and compliance with applicable rules to the management
carry out a special investigation into compliance with rules within the organization.

You know the relevant laws and regulations, including the Wwft and Sanction Act or are able and willing to familiarize yourself with them.
Experience in writing policies, procedures and measures is a pre-requisite.
