The Global Orthopedics business of DePuy Synthes is comprised of Joint Reconstruction, Trauma, Spine, Sports Medicine and Power Tools. Collectively, these businesses are focused on helping patients along the care continuum — from early intervention to surgical replacement, with the goal of helping people return to living active and fulfilling lives.
The Clinical Team Lead (CTL) will be responsible for Clinical Expert Team in order to achieve all strategic and business objectives DePuy Synthes Trauma products and the NPIs. The position reports directly to the Sales Manager Trauma and contains clinical responsibilities in field and development responsibilities of the CE’s. The key objective of this role will be to drive the sales target within the Netherlands meeting all strategic and business objectives, driving the training plan for new products and supporting the Clinical Expert team’s training plan and providing the highest level of clinical, education and customer support. Beside this the Clinical Team Lead is responsible for the Clinical Experts reporting directly to the Clinical Team Lead. This includes management tasks such as drawing up the development plans including G&O, administrative processes (like Prime Time and Concur) and the associated annual conversations.
Responsibilities:
Meet and exceed sales targets for the Netherlands
Meet and exceed sales targets in own (SC) accounts
(region East of the Netherlands)
Provide Clinical Support for DPS Trauma and drive NPIs
Comply with mandatory training and attend local and abroad training programs to maintain and develop knowledge required to fulfil job role effectively
Leading a team of DPS Clinical Experts Trauma and taken responsibility of their developments plan including G&O, administrative processes and annual conversations
Build Clinical Expert with the necessary skills, experience and competences
Responsible for the incentive plan of his/her team in line with the DPS Trauma strategy.
Execute on key marketing strategies to include the successful roll out of new products
Maintain and develop firm business relationships with KOLs and other strategically important clinical and economic stakeholders
Develop in depth understanding of the needs and objectives of customers on all levels
Drive future projects in line with the DPS Trauma value proposition
Maintain knowledge of competitor's products and strategies in the local market
Coordinate clinical activities such as new products launches, internal and external training in collaboration with EHQ
Closely collaborate with all J&J internal resources, including the Therapeutic Area Lead
Coordinates the involvement of all internal partners, including customer service, supply chain, marketing & strategic capabilities to meet account performance objectives and customers’ expectations.
Ability to lead and link One Medical Devices capabilities to deliver business value beyond products.
Ongoing assessment of the entire team to ensure they have the necessary skills & competencies to fulfil existing roles
Drive the Clinical Team and SCs to the highest clinical level
Develop educational programs (internal and external)
Share best practice and success stories across the cluster and the region
Monitor & assess competitor activity and use this knowledge to develop competitive advantage for DPS Trauma
Take responsibility for focused meetings and training with the Clinical Expert Team
Adopt Credo based principles in all interactions with internal and external customers
Qualifications
Education, Experience And Skills:
Leadership experience preferably in Medical Device Industry
Successful sales experience within the medical devices sector, preferably in Orthopedics.
Master’s degree in (para)medical, economics, management or equal by experience.
Ability to work with tools like Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Sales force, etc.
Understanding and application of corporate behavior.
