    The J.P. Morgan Benelux Investment Banking team is responsible for origination and execution of corporate finance transactions, including public and private M&A transactions with corporate and financial sponsor clients, and equity and debt capital markets issuances, across the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg.

    The Benelux Investment Banking team, with offices in Amsterdam and Brussels, has an outstanding reputation and exemplary track record of executing complex transactions, and is recognised by clients, other advisors and competitors as one of the leading franchises in the Benelux market. The team is looking to expand given significant and exciting business activity.

    The team holds a leading market position. Over the last five years, the team has advised on c. 35 sell-sides, c. 25 buy-sides and several landmark IPOs.

These teams collaborate to provide a variety of products to clients in each sector. The team members become experts in their product, industry sector or country.     Position Summary
    • Assist in the origination and management of the execution of transactions across all industry sectors, across the Benelux, together with other bankers from the team, as well as colleagues from industry, product other country teams

    Key responsibilities
    • Leading the day-to-day management of projects
    • Liaising with the relevant counterparts at the client and other advisers (accounting, legal, commercial, etc.)
    • Coordinating project deliverables and due diligence with other advisers
    • Supporting senior management and coverage bankers in origination efforts
    • Managing the production of detailed valuation analysis, including DCF, trading comparables, transaction comparables and LBO analysis
    • Managing the production of and reviewing detailed combination models, transaction structuring, valuation and other financial analysis
    • Overseeing the preparation of presentation books, management presentations, board materials, memoranda, and other presentation materials for use in transactions or strategic client dialogue
    • Liaising with other team members, industry coverage bankers and other product partners to deliver the firm to our clients
    • Interaction with senior team members and client management teams on a daily basis to execute transactions and discuss strategic alternatives
    • Act as leader of ambitious and strong junior team of Associates and Analysts


    The work is fast-paced, demanding and intellectually stimulating. We look for candidates with the following:
    • Investment Banking or Corporate Finance experience
    • Very strong analytical / numeracy skills, with high level of attention to detail
    • Exceptionally strong financial modelling/valuation skills
    • Ability to comfortably interact with clients and people in a professional and mature manner
    • Comfort in and commitment to a strong teamwork environment
    • Excellent project management/organizational skills
    • Strong, inclusive team player
    • Ability to react well to pressure whilst multitasking on numerous projects
    • Initiative to take responsibility for tasks and drive them to completion
    • Strong understanding of investment banking products
    • Proficient in MS office applications, profound knowledge of customary investment banking databases (FactSet, Bloomberg, etc.)
    • Strong academic background
    • Fluent in Dutch and English, with exceptional written and verbal communication skills
