    Buying Coordinator - Temporary

    For an international retail organization I am looking for a Buying Coordinator in Amsterdam.

    The Buying Operations team is responsible for placing and managing the global purchase orders and ensuring timely deliveries. The team works in close collaboration with Sourcing hubs, Suppliers, Buying and Planning department, Central Operations and Production teams.

    Responsibilities Buying Coordinator - Temporary

    As a Buying Coordinator you will be responsible for:

    • Assisting the trade team during the E-commerce buys, manage buying sheets
    • Supporting the team with entering seasonal orders and in-season capsules
    • Supporting the launch of new products and monitoring the products on the website
    • Supporting delivering input into creative briefs for style guides, looks, features, promotions, newsletters and projects
    • Coordinating upload, price checks and site checks
    • Build and Refresh ad-hoc reports as requested
    • Negotiate deliveries to ensure consistent and early flow of goods/merchandise to maximize sales
    • Maintain and develop best position with vendors and divisions
    • Booking in the release of deliveries, keeping track and alerting the team to any delivery issues.
    • Working closely with relevant teams to ensure stock is in the right place at the right time.

    Requirements Buying Coordinator - Temporary

    The ideal candidate:

    • Education: HBO / University degree or equivalent in Business/ Supply chain/ Logistics
    • Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience in a fast moving international environment working with suppliers
    • Experience in Fashion industry and/or Supply Chain is an advantage
    • Analytical and result orientated mind-set
    • High level of accuracy and problem solving skills
    • Comfortable working under pressure with deadlines
    • Pro active, supportive, and hands-on mentality
    • Excellent communication skills in English
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), Advanced Excel skills required
