    Job Description

    As the Business Manager your main objective is to co-define the dedicated customer strategy and contribute to adjoining strategies for other areas. You develop and execute customer plans and monitor the performance. In addition you are responsible for building sound relationships with a broad range of customers amongst different distribution channels and you have the mental agility to vary between customer groups and accounts, building on lessons learned. While doing this you maximize effectiveness and efficiency of resources. Responsibilities include:

    Operations/ Professional/ Business

    • Support on defining operational and strategic plans for the dedicated area
    • Provide profound data to substantiate an objective decision making processes
    • Manage, monitor and analyse market developments in order to anticipate on trends and opportunities and obtaining / ensuring a leading market position
    • Developing and implementing (strategic) plans, achieving targets on volume, profit and distribution


    Pricing & Trade Margin

    • Ensure customers receive the updated pricelist within the deadlines and ensure the compliancy to timelines and regulations
    • Monitor, analyse and report competitor price changes and product alterations; proposes solid recommendations



    Forecasting & availability

    • Provide on a monthly basis, a bottom up forecast for the Key Account and independent channel based on market dynamics, customer performance and competitor performance of total volume of Key Accounts and Independent channel


    Administrative & General procedures

    • Develops (credit) risk directives, conducts damage assessments in line with company procedures and track performance to manage nationwide owned equipment and material ensuring the maximisation of asset usage and ROI
    • Drafts annual plans including budget(s) in line with company strategies, policies and procedures


    Relationship

    • Develop and maintain sustainable relation- and partnerships with both internal and external stakeholders; ensuring continuous knowledge sharing and stretching skills


    Innovation

    • Propose new ways of working, driving innovative projects, system improvements and exploring business opportunities within the area of expertise to build a lean and effective organization

    The Successful Applicant

    • University degree preferred
      • At least 5 years trade marketing/sales experience in a FMCGmulti national company
      • Track record in business management and dealing with senior (internal and external) stakeholders
      • Strategic and conceptual thinking skills
      • Demonstrated analytical, interpersonal and negotiation skills
      • Creates feasible initiatives to exploit business opportunities with diverse channels and sectors
      • Ability to prioritize and meet tight deadlines in a constantly changing environment
      • Fluency in Dutch and English. Other language skills are a plus
      • Operates independently whilst being results-oriented
      • Makes sound, fact-based decisions by using a solid mix of data analysis and experience
      • Networker; builds solid relations with stakeholders at all levels in- and externally
      • Inspiring and engaging speaker
      • Mental and people agility (flexibility and eagerness) to manages different customers
