The ambition of Europarcs is to become the largest and best operator of holiday parks in Europe. The pace of growth is fast and results in a very dynamic environment. To successfully manage this, Europarcs is rapidly developing and growing its internal organization. As part of this process we are now seeking a Business Controller, who can help Europarcs to achieve its goals.
What are you going to do?
As Business Controller you’ll report to the Manager Business Control. You’ll work closely together with the other business controllers in The Netherlands and the country finance managers in Austria and Belgium. In this role you are financial sparring partner of the leadership team, with whom you will be in daily contact to align on financial-, operational- and risk related matters, as well as opportunities. Specific focus areas are rental sales, operations, and corporate affairs.
In this position, within our growing company, your main responsibilities are:
Solicited and unsolicited advice on operational and business developments
Execution of the Planning and Control cycle for Europarcs’ corporate activities
Preparation of the annual budget and business plan
Preparation of periodic outlooks/forecasts
Continuous improvement and optimization of the various management information systems / reports and the associated data management
Proactively challenging and supporting management
The implementation and monitoring of internal controls
Continuous improvement of financial standards and processes
Monitoring of relevant (financial) economic and external developments that could potentially affect EuroParcs
Who are we looking for?
In this dynamic setting we are looking for a Business Controller who knows “what good looks like”. He or she has proven experience in a professional medium- to large size multinational company, and is able to use this experience to identify improvements and take the necessary steps to achieve them. He or she therefore enjoys building an organization and is able to think outside of the box. It is important to be pragmatic where possible, but strict when necessary. And last but not least, we are looking for someone who is a team-player and who gets satisfaction from helping other people grow in their jobs.
We also ask:
A completed Master’s Degree in (business) economics, complemented with a Post-doctoral education (RA or RC)
At least 10 years of experience in a similar position
Fluent command of the Dutch and English language
Willingness to travel (both domestically, as well as internationally)
A can-do mentality
No 9 to 5 spirit
