    The Role

    Location: Anywhere in the world

    Oyster is growing fast, and we are hiring a Business Analyst to support the Operations department with business Insights & Reporting across different layers of its organization. The team is part of the Operations department, composed by Customer Operations, Global Operations and Legal.

    As the Business Analyst, you will become an expert of Oyster business and operations. You will build and socialize the relevant reports & dashboards tracking Operations performance. Furthermore, driven by your business-mindset , you will constantly look for insights and improvement opportunities to make strategic recommendations and in turn improve Oyster business.

    The successful Business Analyst is able to work independently by using their experience in data collection, data preparation, data analysis and visualization to generate reports, KPI definitions and insights when applicable.

    What you'll be doing...

    • Gather business requirements from stakeholders, and deliver easy to understand analysis or reports to enable the right decisions
    • Take ownership on existing and new metrics we need to build to reflect the success of our operational teams
    • Leverage large, complex datasets to identify, quantify and influence tangible business gain
    • Apply quantitative skills and incorporate qualitative insights to inform and influence strategy for Operations
    • Analyze data, conduct research and synthesize feedback into plans, processes and playbooks
    • Build and improve data and reporting that help your stakeholders understand the performance of their business segment and identify action points
    • Work independently with limited guidance from manager on data collection and preparation
    • Communicate effectively, candidly, collaboratively, and challenge constructively to create rapport and establish trust

    What we're looking for

    Skillsets that are important

    • 4+ years of relevant experience in analytics field
    • Knowledge and experience using data analysis and visualization tools (e.g: Looker, Tableau, data studio, powerbi, mixpanel, etc)
    • Knowledge and awareness of at least one data analysis/query language (e.g: R, SQL, Python, etc)
    • Able to understand details while keeping an eye on the bigger picture
    • Strong interpersonal skills, open and friendly attitude
    • Have the capacity to thrive in our fast-paced environment, adapt quickly and take ownership of your work
    • Strong technical data skills, statistics and the ability to draw business insights from data
    • Excellent communication and story-telling skills (verbal, dashboarding and written). Ability to convey complex analysis results clearly and with conviction to all levels of stakeholders

    Skillsets that are not required (but are a bonus)

    • Experience in HR and/or Operations analytics
    • Experience in Looker and Zendesk Explore
