FrieslandCampina is looking for a Bioprocess Technology Expert!
Take the opportunity to execute process development, conceptual design and engineering in multidisciplinary teams with the aim of creating innovative and well controlled production processes and build knowledge in the field of bioprocess technology.
What we ask
Academic/Master degree in process technology or engineering (chemical engineering, (bio) process technology or a like)
8 years’ experience in (dairy) processing industry
Highly experienced with fermentation technology, enzymatic conversions and downstream processing of valuable components
Good understanding of relation between process settings and product properties in unit operations
Solid understanding of main technologies and processes used within RFC Ingredients (membrane filtration, chromatography, spray drying etc).
Able to lead large (complex) projects (non-Capex) (interacting with multiple disciplines, such as Operations, Quality Assurance, R&D and M&S.
Experience with process control, automation or willing/able to learn
Proven significant experience with “Fact based process improvement” (e.g. Lean/Six Sigma)
Experience in Infant Food/Pharma sector is preferred
Fluent in English and Dutch

Lead and initiate the development, optimization and testing of new and existing production processes.You are responsible for the conceptual design and engineering in multidisciplinary teams with the aim of creating new, innovative, predictable and controlled production processes, by:
Strengthen the knowledge of biotechnological processes (precision fermentation, enzymatic conversions and downstream processing of valuable components) in close collaboration with R&D and other internal and external experts and partners.
Develop optimal process concepts to support our innovation program and secure the “Process Proven in Control” principles are included in the development of new products and processes.
Introducing process technological innovations to make our products and processes better, smarter and more sustainable.
Explore, develop and implement methods, models and measures to improve control and efficiency of these processes.
Active role in full time path of the innovation process: from conceptual design, pilot tests & production trials, towards full scale process validation and process optimization
