What you will do
You will provide education and develop competence-based education (theory and practical) in Dutch and English, in all years of the Dutch-language Biologisch en Medisch Laboratorium Onderzoek degree program and the English variant Life Sciences.
You will teach basic subjects for all degree programs of the school.
You guide learning processes in different roles, e.g. as tutor, expert and study coach.
You supervise students doing their internship and graduation projects in the work field, both in the Netherlands and abroad.
What we are looking for
You are an enthusiastic team player with a passion for bioprocess/fermentation technology. You are a subject expert and have relevant work experience in upstream processing, bio-process development, bioreactor design and data analysis. You have a Master degree in a relevant area. You know how to inspire and motivate students about the field and have proven teaching skills. You hold a teaching certificate or are willing to obtain one. You have good command of the English language and preferably have a Cambridge English certificate.
You enjoy working with students and helping students build confidence. You are communicative, flexible, and enterprising. You are student-focused, results-oriented and stress-resistant. It is a strong plus if you are available on short notice.
What we offer

An appointment as lecturer, level 1; depending on your experience, the gross monthly salary will be min. €3 658.64 and max. €5 026.85 (scale 11, Collective Agreement for Universities of Applied Sciences) for a full-time appointment;
An appointment for 0.8 FTE;

Other useful information About the department The School of Applied Biosciences and Chemistry offers a Bachelor of Applied Science in Chemistry, Life Science and Bioinformatics. The education is innovative, high quality and is developed in close collaboration with the (international) work field and the Biodiscovery research group. We have a unique specialization in Molecular Plant Biology, the Master in Molecular Life Sciences program and the HAN BioCentre research center.
