Large Projects Offshore (LPO)
In September 2013, over 40 parties in The Netherlands agreed on the Energieakkoord, setting targets and intentions for the transition to a more renewable energy supply. Based on this agreement the decision to realize 3.500 MW of offshore wind energy has been taken and TenneT has been appointed as offshore grid operator. Various projects are in the construction phase and the preparation for the other projects (spatial, permits, procurement) is ongoing.

Your contribution to TenneT
Our organizational vision with the implementation of BIM is the creation of a standard-based open ecosystem for the employees and the project-partners, putting data, standardization and interoperability in the center of asset life-cycle-management to assure transparency and security of supply. Even though the vision is clear and the first steps moving towards it have been taken, TenneT is still in transition and simultaneously need to execute projects in a timely manner, within budget and with a high quality of information for future use.
- Take the lead in development of the Information Management standards for Offshore projects ensuring a consistent implementation of Information Management within the whole asset lifecycle;
- Define IM business value for the whole asset lifecycle;
- Prepare Information Management Tenders and negotiation with Tenderers regarding LPO Information Management and define MEAT criteria regarding Information Management;
- Definition of the IT architecture for storage, data exchange and communication (project‐specific configuration) and development of the BIM functionalities with the existing CDE.
- Interface between LPO projects and TenneT’s internal stakeholders, e.g. Asset Management / Grid field operations;
- Implement (corporate) BIM objectives, functionalities and best practices for LPO.
- Support of all LPO Project BIM Information Managers;
- Measuring the projects’ model progress;
- Securing the handover to the operation and maintenance.
- Training strategy (Organises or assigns appropriate trainings to employees).
Your Profile and background
- Experience with relevant IM processes, deliverables, standards and tooling;
- Experience with implementing IM within projects;
- Experience in change- and project management;
- Experience with agile working;
- Demonstrated ability to engage and influence at all levels within an international organization;
- Able to create and think on strategic level, but also to implement on practical level;
- Experience in delivering in a fast moving and challenging environment;
- 3 - 5 years of experience with BIM;
- Excellent communication skills in English, in addition communication skills in Dutch and/or German are preferred.
