As Laboratory Assistant you will be part of the Lab Operations team. Lab Operations ensures safe, efficient, and future proof state of the art laboratory facilities and provides support to all lab processes. You will be working close together with the Lab monitors, Equipment monitors, Operations and Resource Managers and Lab Facility Management
Your new position
As Laboratory Assistant you ensure a smooth operation of the labs in the Genmab R&D Centers in Utrecht and Zeist.
You will coordinate and maintain stocks and storage of consumables and generally used reagents in the labs
You will maintain general lab equipment like centrifuges, incubators, fridges and freezers and water baths.
You will prepare and replenish generally used buffers and solutions
You will aliquot stock solutions of generally used reagents
You will support Facility Management and lab-monitors with general lab equipment installation, maintenance and monitoring and responding to alarms
You will support the execution of laboratory safety guidelines
You will support lab-monitors and lab operations in administrative tasks such as lab-information sheets and up-to-date equipment registration
What you need to succeed
You have a ‘getting things done mentality’, you are enthusiastic, goal-oriented, efficient and accurate and you enjoy working in a team. You take initiative and keep a close eye on ways to improve your work.
Furthermore you meet the following professional requirements:
You have a completed MLO in Applied Sciences or any related laboratory education
Previous experience in general lab operations activities is a plus;
You are proficient in English
Strong ability to work in a structured and dynamic environment;
You have strong organization skills and a hands-on mentality
You have good interpersonal and communication skills;
You are pro-active and can work independently as well as within a team
You are result driven and committed to contributing to the overall success of Genmab
