    Senior Creative seeks Art Director
    Me. Creative lead for a quirky EV fast-charging company that wants to be more Oatly than Tesla.
    You. Emotionally available Art Director who loves building stand-out brands vaguely inspired by old French avant-garde movie posters.
    Us. The Fastned dynamic duo creating bold assets and meaningful campaigns to let every driver know they're ready to go electric, cause the myths on range anxiety have been busted and more than enough chargers are done and dusted.
    Your Role
    We're looking for a highly ambitious Art Director to help the brand team develop Fastned into a bold, independent brand in an emerging market - EV fast charging. The biggest car manufacturers have pledged to stop producing combustion engine cars from 2030, meaning that we'll be welcoming millions of new EV drivers within the next few years to our stations and there is a need for more educational content. Your role will be to find creative solutions for big and small projects and evolve the visual approach based on our new brand look. You'll have the freedom to bring a fresh perspective to design because the brand look's based on a concept that makes it flexible and ever-changing. We are not a big corporate where changing a secondary color means making a case for 5 thousand stakeholders. We embrace a culture of going off the beaten path. You'll see that from the way we've designed our yellow canopies to how we do customer support.

    The Work
    So what specifically are you going to be working on? You should be able to get creative on all relevant offline and online channels. More concretely, your goals include:

    • Refining the new Fastned visual identity (biggest upcoming projects: app redesign & our 10 year anniversary campaign);
    • Implementing this visual identity into the physical stations (including future developments such as shops);
    • Getting creative on social media to drive brand awareness;
    • Developing content (graphics, videos) to perfect onboarding (we have millions of first-time users coming up);
    • Designing all sorts of base brand materials such as branded clothing, the Annual Report, emails, social media posts, charger screens, etc.;
    • And lots more!

    In this role, you will be working together with our Senior Creative, Junior Designer and Production Manager (but the team keeps growing). It is our goal to do most things in-house, and only get external parties involved when we lack internal production capacity.

    Who are we looking for?
    Somebody with some / more / all of the following:

    • An affinity for Fastned's mission: accelerating the transition towards sustainable mobility by giving freedom to electric drivers aka Electric Freedom ®;
    • Previous experience in branding (e.g. freelance or at a design studio);
    • Experience in graphic design (Adobe Suite, Figma);
    • A knowledge of current social media and culture trends;
    • Experience in producing and editing online videos;
    • You have worked on various international brands, probably in an agency setting but want more impact accountability;
    • Entrepreneurial mindset. You think big and want to do bold things, while at the same time looking at the impact and effectiveness. You learn, improve and implement again;
    • Experience in guiding junior designers or design interns;
    • Most job ads for a position like this would say 5+ years previous experience in an agency or client setting. But if you think you have some amazing work to show with less years under your belt, apply anyway!
