We are looking for a strong candidate for the position of Apprentice/Internship. This position reports to Frank van Genderen in Medical Affairs.
During your internship you will be responsible for:
- Literature overview based on desk research about treatment goal setting in CPAF concerning symptomatic treatment versus fistula closure.
- Development of an educational toolkit concerning fistula closure with the goal to support HCPs in optimizing CPAF treatment for their patients.
- Advise on a communication plan to improve reach and impact of the toolkit towards HCPs

Your role
Perianal fistulas and abscesses are the most common complications of perianal Crohn’s disease. Up to 52% of patients with perianal CD present with perianal fistulas. From the patients´ perspective, Crohn´s perianal fistulas severely impact overall QoL, sexual relationships, social and work life. The ultimate treatment goal for CPF is to achieve sustained fistula closure while preserving faecal continence.
By developing an educational toolkit about fistula closure as achievable treatment goal you will help to change goal setting in treatment of CPAF from managing symptoms towards fistula closure.
