    Application Support Analyst

    JOB PURPOSE

    To work within FLEETCOR technology function to deliver effective support to both external clients/suppliers and colleagues across all applications.

    Responsible for investigating software issues, identifying the appropriate solution, and prioritizing against the client’s business requirements, planned future development and available resource.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • To investigate verified application issues within defined timelines depending on priority of the issue.
    • Review Code defects and identify root cause
    • Provide Data SQL script fixes where required
    • Identify resolutions whilst ensuring the integrity of the software application in relation to the generic customer base.
    • Create detailed technical support documentation where required.
    • Ensure 1st Line and Infrastructure teams are engaged where needed.
    • Provide support and guidance to users and colleagues across all applications
    • To work closely with the Agile Delivery teams to ensure we understand future functionality and deliver a Production ready solution.
    • To specify, develop and implement interfaces to support the core product.
    • To input into the production of detailed estimates of resource timings.
    • To be responsible for monitoring personal project performance against the plan and, where necessary, take appropriate corrective actions to ensure project goals are met.

    • To ensure that the most cost effective and suitable system solutions are delivered
    • Ensure proposed solutions and delivered software complies with company development standards.

    o Assign priorities to issues raised by users

    o Allocate resource within his sphere of control to ensure that application issues are completed on time and to budget.

    KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

    Technical Experience - Essential

    o Strong SQL skills – experience of MS SQL Server in a working environment, including sound knowledge of constructing complex SQL queries

    o Practical knowledge of the Windows desktop environment

    o A sound knowledge of internet technologies

    o Logical and systematic approach to problem resolution across a broad spectrum of technologies

    Technical Experience Desirable

    o Experience of working in Applications Support or Junior programming background

    o Knowledge of Card Processing and Billing systems

    o Salesforce understanding
