As an Equity Capital Markets (ECM) Analyst you are actively involved in both the origination and execution of transactions in public equity markets. You will be part of a young, fun and driven team.
Together we achieve more than alone As part of Rabobank’s ECM / M&A team, ECM advises and assists public and privately-owned companies, public sector bodies and financial sponsors in transactions in the equity capital markets. Our ECM team combines market insight and intelligence with corporate finance knowledge to develop tailor-made solutions for raising capital. We originate, structure and execute equity and equity related issues products such as initial public offerings (IPOs), secondary offerings, block trades, convertible bonds, share buybacks and other types of equity advice.

You and your job You and the ECM team of 10 dedicated bankers follow Rabobank’s international strategy, which is focussed on three pillars: 1) Banking for Food (the F&A sector globally), 2) Banking for the Netherlands (industry-wide), and 3) Banking for Energy (Europe-wide). As an Analyst, you will support the origination process – such as preparing client presentations and pitches, preparing market updates for the highest management level of clients and/or shareholders as well as developing dialogue with both new and existing clients - as well as during ECM transactions by taking a leading role in producing marketing materials, drafting of documentation and maintaining contact with external parties.
Conducting analyses on companies (including their investment case, strategy, markets, products and competitors) and developing a thorough understanding of the broader equity market (market trends and dynamics, investor perspectives), synthesizing these multiple elements into concrete client advice with regards to positioning of the company, valuation, marketing strategies and transaction structuring
Actively contribute to the general execution process and coordinate various transaction processes, such as producing marketing materials, drafting of documentation and due diligence
Proactively identify new commercial opportunities based on market intelligence

You and your talent
A university master's degree preferably in finance, economics or related subjects, with excellent results in combination with extra-curricular activities
Fluency in written and spoken English, Dutch or another European additional language is a plus
A maximum of 2 years of relevant work experience (e.g. investment banking, private equity, consultancy roles)
Currently allowed to work in the EU
Having flexibility and the ability to handle pressure
Focus on customers & commerce, and a results-oriented attitude
Team player mentality, analytically strong and good at quantitative problem solving as well as excellent stakeholder management
