    Analog-RF/AMS CAD Application Designer

    The Design Enablement is a central technology development organization within NXP which defines and supports NXP hardware design methodologies and computer-aided design (CAD) tools enabling differentiation for NXP products development.

    The NXP Nijmegen center is looking for an experienced Analog-RF/MS design CAD Application Designer.

    Analog-RF schematic creation, simulation analysis and regression versus specification are critical and used for all new NXP products across all NXP new products development.

    As an Analog-RF and AMS design front-end flow CAD Application Engineer you will contribute, within an international team, to the deployment and support, flows and design tools of integrated circuits used in the company. You will also be the main interlocutor of Automotive Netherlands design teams in order to proactively understand their needs, to provide solutions addressing new technical challenges or problems impacting the development of integrated circuits.

    Your Responsibilities

    • Install and maintain IP/SOC project environment aligned with NXP standard architecture (R&D IT, BOM driven, etc.)

    • Support and improve the design infrastructure for regional and global design teams

    • Provide direct support on design tools, flows and technology with specific expertise Analog-RF/AMS design front-end flow

    • Provide 1st line support on some key NXP advanced solutions : A-RF simulator, testbench creation and regression ….

    • Coordinate with EDA providers and internal tool teams, training, monitoring and problem solving

    • Develop software utilities to help automate the design environment

    • Create technical documentation on procedures and flows

    • to cover all aspects from customer support, requirements development through challenges resolution, new methodologies and tools deployment, cooperation with key EDA vendors, test and maintenance / support.

    Your Profile

    To be successful in this role you have:

    • BS or MS degree in electrical engineering

    • 5 to 10 years of experience in the below areas as a CAD Application Engineer focused in Analog-RF Front End Flow

      • Analog – RF simulator as Cadence Spectre , Mentor AFS , Synopsys FineSim, XA, etc.

      • Analog Design Environment as Cadence Virtuoso , ADE-L/XL/Assembler, etc.

      • Behavioral models development : VerilogA, VerilogAMS, WREAL, SystemVerilog, SystemC, etc.

    Furthermore, you have:

    • Highly developed verbal and written communication skills in English

    • Creative problem-solving and strong customer service skills

    • Passionate about continuously learning and able to quickly adapt in dynamic environment

    • Flexibility, ability to adapt to changes in planning.

    Contract: This is a full-time position with a permanent contract. However, we are open to discuss a part-time opportunity (between 32 and 38 hours) as well.
