Our client is a Dutch company that offers an integrated solution for product design, development & manufacturing for their customers. They are based in Shanghai since 1998 and are medium sized with 35 employees. They operate from an independent assembly workshop for small and medium series production in China and they have their sales and engineering office in the Netherlands. They are focused on B2B and industrial parts and assemblies in the following sectors: lighting, medical, green energy and water purification. By improving the product development process they enable their customers to realize their innovative products faster, more cost efficiently and at a high level of quality. So far, over 100+ companies have chosen their solutions for industrial product development.
For their office in Haarlem we are looking for a Technical Accountmanager with a result oriented mentality. The purpose of this role is to take on the opportunity of further developing the European market for their engineering, contract manufacturing and assembly services. What will you be doing?
Be the face and point of contact for a number of existing and new customers
Manage these existing customers for about 50% of your time and the other 50% will be spend on the development of existing and new customers
Manage orders and product development projects
Give advise about product engineering solutions for production and assembly in China
Quickly understand the business and products of (potential) clients and recommend solutions for optimization in close communication with the team at QoCreators
Visit customers, prospects, tradeshows and the production team in China (preferrably once a year)
Be in contact with different stakeholders like engineers, buyers, decision makers and company owners
Understand who is sitting at the table with you and be able to respond to their different needs
As a good relationship manager really make the difference at all kinds of levels and provide the best service to each customer
Analyse and judge new development projects on technical and commercial feasibility
Identify market trends and risks and spot market opportunities

Who are you?
You have commercial experience in a sales or accountmanagement position for at least 5 years
Preferably you have a Bachelor or Master Degree in industrial- or mechanical engineering or product development (IPO or similar)
You are confident in dealing with larger multinationals as well as medium and smaller sized businesses
You are an empathic and trustworthy communicator, being able to see things from the other person's perspective
You are a convincing and excellent negotiator
You are a competent writer of business proposals
You have a basic sense of financials and forecasts
You have a solution oriented mindset and are a true teamplayer
You are a motivated self-starter with a pro-active attitude
You have basic understanding of 3D Software (Solidworks) and are able to interpret technical drawings (or willing to learn)
You are fluent in Dutch and English (spoken & written)
