About Our Client
Our client is a multinational company and renowned nutrition brand. The company provides science-based nutrition products and services which are manufactured in the Netherlands. The site in Nijmegen with 500 employees, hosts the full scope of the supply chain - from product innovation, manufacturing to distribution and export.
The company has decided recently to take back the ownership of the Financial Shared Services Center. Which means that they will insourcing the activities that are currently outsourced. This project implies the building of a completely new team and facilitating the knowledge transfer from the current supplier to our own resources. For this new team we are looking for an Accounting Manager FSSC.
Job Description
As Accounting Manager FSSC you are responsible for the team and processes that are linked to all the financial transactions for the legal entity. Your goal as the Accounting Manager FSSC is to build and lead a team of 6 FTE, which makes sure that; invoices are booked and suppliers get paid, customers are invoiced, receivables are collected, cash is properly booked, intercompany balances are matched, settled, and cleared, the balance sheet is monitored and reconciled, financial statements are correctly delivered, and that supports the financial closing on a tight timeline.
The Accounting Manager FSSC will become part of the Nijmegen Finance team, which includes other functions related to Financial Control and Business Control. Besides managing a very reliable fundament through the financial transactions, the Accounting Manager FSSC will also investigate opportunities to improve efficiency and collaboration on several deliverables such as: Audit, internal controls, financial reporting, and forecasting.
Reporting line:
- Report directly to the Finance Director Nijmegen.
Goal:
- Build and lead a team of 6 FTE.
- Insource transactional finance processes.
Scope:
- Responsible for; general ledger, intercompany, accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed assets, tax & treasury, cash, and expenses.
The Successful Applicant
- Bachelor's a Master's degree in Accounting, Business Economics or Financial Management.
- Minimum 5 years relevant working experience and excellent understanding of accounting (transactions) in all areas as highlighted above.
- Experience in in a Shared Service Center and / or production-focused environment is preferred.
- Ability to manage and lead a team. Experience with recruiting and building a (new) team is preferred.
- Agility in working with ERP systems such as SAP. And proficient in the use of MS Office applications.
- Professional comprehension of the English language.
- Comprehension of the Dutch language is preferred but not required.
