We are looking for an accounting assistant to be a part of a friendly and professional team. Our ideal candidate thrives in a medium sized international work environment, is not afraid to roll-up your sleeves to meet the business needs and has a clear motivation to develop own carrier in the accounting/finance department. This is a newly created position to support business growth and to support various day to day functions of the accounting department.
The main responsibilities of this key position are to: -
Support duties related to accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
Assist a preparation of financial and statistical reports
Analysis financial information in order to identify discrepancies
Research and resolve discrepancies in a timely fashion
Enter journal entries in Navision System
Interpret and apply accounting policies, rules, and regulations to all work in order to ensure compliance with applicable standards
Compile and prepare routine reports.
Support month-end and year-end close process
Support consolidation reports for the Japanese parent company
Handle administrative duties assigned by the CFO
The successful candidate will have: -
Associate's degree in Accounting or Bookkeeping. Bachelor's degree or HBO preferred.
1-3 years of relevant, hands-on accounting experience
Proficient to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications, including Excel
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work independently on assigned duties
Excellent communication skills
Written and spoken English (business level) and Dutch (preferred but not essential requirement)
