    3PL Distribution Center Operations Manager

    Looking for a position where you can utilize your experience and skills to drive and develop a 3PL Distribution Center setup? Join one of the most powerful brands within the pump industry.

This requires a top performing and efficient operation in our entire logistic flow. In the Netherland you will find the largest Distribution Center in Grundfos for finished goods and accessories shipping to customers of all four divisions in EMEA.

    Setting direction and safeguarding performance
    As 3PL Distribution Center Operations Manager you will be responsible for setting the direction in close collaboration with Group Logistics, divisional supply chain teams in Grundfos and the 3PL operations management team. From the office in Almere you will also be in close contact with Quality, Continuous Improvements, Purchasing, Packaging, Sales as well as transportation colleagues.

    Our warehouse facility is outsourced to a third-party logistics provider and is located in Venray. Together with your counterpart at this facility you will safeguard and develop a top performing 3PL operation.

    In this role you will get the opportunity to dive into the daily operation with focus on quality, shipping on time, cost and correct forecasting, as well as identify and drive tactical initiatives improving the performance on the longer perspective.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    • Manage budget, 3PL productivity and KPI´s
    • Drive the 3PL tactical and operational agenda
    • Reconcile 3PL activity and performance
    • Management of Value Added Services
    • Identify leading indicators and track them on regular base
    • Maintenance of SOPs
    • Manage the relationship with 3PL account team
    • Stakeholders management
    • Prepare monthly and quarterly reviews together with 3PL counterpart

    DC professional with 3PL experience
    We are looking for an experienced DC Manager with a collaborative mindset and capability of leading through others. To succeed in the role, you will need excellent communication and negotiation skills to balance different interests and ensure commitment from all stakeholders involved. You are an exceptional relation builder and navigate effortlessly in multifaceted organizations.

    A genuine interest in data and analytics will be a great asset for you in the role, to identify and develop smart indicators to improve and sustain performance. Experience working with large amounts of data in a SAP environment will be a benefit.

    Qualifications and experience required

    • Bachelor degreee in industrial, logistics or commercial management
    • 5+ years experience with functional management
    • Deep knowledge of 3PL Management and general Warehousing and Distribution processes
    • A good understanding of Lean and six sigma principles
    • Fluent in English (written and spoken)
